Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority has approved 13 real estate projects involving an estimated investment of Rs 2,380.04 crore across six districts.
The projects will create 4,724 residential and commercial units across Barabanki, Lucknow, Varanasi, Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddh Nagar and Agra, UP RERA said.
Barabanki Tops Investment
Barabanki recorded the highest proposed investment, with two residential projects worth Rs 751.42 crore receiving approval.
Together, these projects will add 591 residential units in the district adjoining Lucknow.
Lucknow, meanwhile, topped the list in terms of units. One residential project worth Rs 385.76 crore will develop 1,392 units.
Varanasi Gets Three Projects
Varanasi received approvals for three residential projects with a combined estimated investment of Rs 750.24 crore. These projects will create 1,189 units.
In Ghaziabad, three projects comprising two commercial developments and one residential project were approved.
The projects involve an estimated investment of Rs 286.27 crore and will collectively add 864 units.
Gautam Buddh Nagar, which includes Noida, received approvals for one residential and one commercial project.
These projects entail an investment of about Rs 186 crore and will create 564 units.

Agra received approvals for two residential projects worth Rs 20.35 crore, comprising 124 units.
Construction Activity To Get Boost
The approvals were granted during UP RERA’s 212th and 213th meetings, chaired by Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy at the authority’s headquarters.
UP RERA said ensuring that registered projects are developed within prescribed rules and timelines through transparent processes remains a priority.
The regulator expects the Rs 2,380.04 crore investment to accelerate construction activity and benefit allied sectors such as building materials, transportation and engineering.
The projects are also expected to generate direct and indirect employment and strengthen economic activity across the six districts.
UP RERA said protecting homebuyers’ interests and strengthening confidence in the state’s real estate sector remain key priorities.
