InfinityDAO Targets US$1 Billion Insurance Cover, IDL Ecosystem Seeks Stronger Institutional Protection

Mumbai/London: InfinityDAO, the AI-driven decentralised finance ecosystem behind the IDL token, is moving towards securing insurance protection of up to US$1 billion as it looks to strengthen risk management and stakeholder protection.

The proposed programme is being arranged through a UK-based specialist crypto insurance syndicate. However, final policy issuance, insured limits, terms and exclusions will remain subject to underwriting and the final insurance contract.

Multiple Risk Covers

The planned insurance structure is designed to cover five main areas, including token default, platform default, crime and digital asset theft, directors and officers liability, and broader ecosystem and stakeholder risks.

Token default protection would cover specified insured events affecting the IDL token, while platform default protection would apply to defined failures involving the InfinityDAO platform.

Crime and digital asset theft protection is intended to cover specified theft, cyber incidents and unauthorised removal of assets, subject to the final policy terms.

The proposed directors and officers cover would protect eligible management personnel against certain liability claims, including those that could arise during financial distress or insolvency.

Polygon-Based Ecosystem

InfinityDAO operates its IDL utility and ecosystem token on the Polygon blockchain. The project describes its architecture as an AI-driven framework designed to manage token emissions, liquidity, value recycling and long-term sustainability.

Its architecture includes five protocol modules — Quantum Emission Matrix, Flux Liquidity Shield, Velocity Recycle Core, HyperGuard Lock and Infinity Sustainability Protocol.

These modules are designed to assess and manage factors such as staking activity, liquidity concentration, treasury reserves and reward-to-emission dynamics.

Institutional Protection

InfinityDAO said the proposed insurance programme could strengthen confidence in the ecosystem by adding third-party risk protection alongside its blockchain infrastructure.

However, insurance would not guarantee the IDL token’s price, investment returns, liquidity or redemption value. Protection would apply only to risks specifically covered under the final insurance contract.

InfinityDAO also claims that successful completion could place IDL among a limited number of digital assets carrying substantial dedicated insurance protection. Its claim that IDL could become the world’s 14th such insured token has not been independently verified.

If the full US$1 billion protection is successfully underwritten and confirmed, the programme could become a significant institutional milestone for the emerging DeFi ecosystem.
